Hooked In A Book
Thanks to Emily over at Hooked In A Book for reading and reviewing Thrall!

Emily says:

How do I even begin to put all the crazy, gushy, ramblings in my brain about this book onto paper?!? Where to even begin?….This book is a MUST read! I do not want to give too much away because it is always amazing when your reading and secrets unravel and this book does exactly that!

“Writers As Entrepreneur” – L.A. Biz Article by Gina Hall

Gina Hall wrote a great article for L.A. Biz about screenwriters who’ve made the jump to writing ebooks – and I’m very flattered to be included in the article!

As she touches on in the article, one of my favorite aspects of writing ebooks is the ability to share stories with anyone who’s interested in reading what I’m interested in writing – and the chance to talk with readers one-on-one.

For everyone who’s sent a note after reading Thrall, I just want to say thank you.  Sometimes as a screenwriter you can feel like you’re standing in an empty field, shouting as loud as you can to get your stories heard.

It’s amazing to feel like someone’s listening.

You can read the article here.

Anaïs Nin on The Meaning Of Life

I love Brain Pickings – I’ve been subscribed for over a year and they continue to delight.

Today they have an incredible quote from Anaïs Nin:

“The secret of a full life is to live and relate to others as if they might not be there tomorrow, as if you might not be there tomorrow. It eliminates the vice of procrastination, the sin of postponement, failed communications, failed communions. This thought has made me more and more attentive to all encounters. meetings, introductions, which might contain the seed of depth that might be carelessly overlooked. This feeling has become a rarity, and rarer every day now that we have reached a hastier and more superficial rhythm, now that we believe we are in touch with a greater amount of people, more people, more countries. This is the illusion which might cheat us of being in touch deeply with the one breathing next to us. The dangerous time when mechanical voices, radios, telephones, take the place of human intimacies, and the concept of being in touch with millions brings a greater and greater poverty in intimacy and human vision.”

“Thrall” is a 5-Star Readers Favorite

"Thrall" earns 5-Star Rating from Readers FavoriteThanks to Stephanie D. at Readers Favorite for a great review of Thrall.

Stephanie says: “Events twist and turn and keep us all guessing in this well-thought-out story that really stands out in a very popular genre. And best of all, it is only the start of a series.”

“Incubus” Cover Reveal

Okay, here it is:

"Incubus" (Daughters Of Lilith #2) by Jennifer Quintenz

I’m so excited to finish this book.

Cover Designing

Okay – I’m still very new to this, but I think I love designing book covers.

I’ve been working on the cover for Incubus (Daughters Of Lilith #2), and I’m really liking how it’s turning out.  It helps to have some great friends and a sister (who’s a college professor of photography, no less!) offering their feedback, insights, comments.

I’m hoping to unveil the cover here very soon!

It’s been a nice break from writing, but I need to get back into the thick of things.  Book 2 is outlined, and I’m ready to start pages.

Hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day!
